Hanging TV cabinet made of oak and stone, by Bowie

Description

There were two large stone blocks in the wall. Removing this is no fun, that's why I decided to turn it into a TV cabinet by connecting the two stones with each other using a top of oak carpentry panel.

Work description: how did you realize your project

In this case the job is quite simple. I just had to measure the total surface area correctly. I make sure that they are half a centimeter too wide so that we can possibly mount a wooden plank on the edges in the future, if we no longer like the stone side view.

We have chosen for a Oak Carpentry Panel in 40 mm thickness and we have to bevel the edges by 2 mm , for a more finished look. When the shelf was delivered it was simple!
I treated the shelf with a transparent furniture oil. Then I put the plank on top and I was done. Fortunately, it fits perfectly. We are very happy with it!
