IKEA hack: Custom children's desk with plywood wooden panels, by Frank

Frank has converted an IKEA furniture base into a nice and hip piece of furniture. This makes it a sturdy piece of furniture and very easy to assemble.

For our son, a sleek and natural-looking desk made of miter sawn birch MDF 27mm . Then put it in the interior stain so that he can play with it for a long time.

How I made this project

Ordered wood and had it mitered when ordering. Corner profiles under the desk section for strength and so that no screw holes are visible on the outside. The basis is the IKEA Smastad desk. Completely painted in white interior stain. Assembling the desk was done together with my father. First think carefully about how to put it together. The horizontal plank has a slight curvature, which is why a covering slat was used. A beautiful project that our son will enjoy a lot.
