You can make fun hacks with Ikea furniture. This also applies to the Ikea Ivar cabinets as Ruben shows in this DIY project. By ordering custom pine carpentry panels, he gave the cabinets their own unique look.

Description by Ruben

A wall cupboard from Ikea "pimped" by sawing it to size and to make it beautiful, we made a beautiful pine carpentry panel plate on it

How I made this project

We first built the IKEA IVAR cabinets cut to size so that it fits between the walls. Because the ivar cabinets have edges at the top, it looks less sleek if you have several cabinets next to each other. That's why we ordered the wooden plate online. We glued this on. To be on the safe side, we drilled extra screws in from the bottom. We are very happy with the end result.

Dimensions of my DIY project

318.0 x 60.0 cm
